Free autism training for the community

Spring School is part of the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust which is run by the charity Ambitious about Autism.

The charity is a founding partner of the Autism Education Trust (AET), a Department for Education approved, CPD accredited programme which supports improving educational access, experience, and outcomes for autistic pupils while reducing demand on specialist services.

Ambitious about Autism is the local autism training partner in the Royal borough of Kingston-upon-Thames which allows the charity to offer training to nurseries, schools and colleges across the borough for free.

To date, AET has reached over 330,000 staff in a wide variety of education settings including a number local to Spring School. This commitment to driving improvement and helping autistic children and young people in the wider community is central to the trust’s vision for Spring School.

Ranging between one hour, a half day or full day, Ambitious about Autism can offer both general and bespoke sessions on:

  • Schools Good Autism Practice
  • Schools Making Sense of Autism
  • Post 16 Making Sense of Autism
