Siobhán Lowe
Chair of Governors

Date: 01 January 2023-01 January 2029, appointed by Trustees

Siobhán has been involved in teaching for the last 39 years and has worked within a number of settings. Siobhán was a SENCo, Head of Inclusion and has a number of post graduate qualifications in SEN as well as leadership and management. Siobhán is an advocate for children and young people with mental issues and although retired from headship is still very active within education. Siobhán is a mother and a grandmother and spends her down time enjoying her retirement.

Michael Davis
Staff Governor

Date: 20 October 2023 - 20 October 2029, appointed by Chair

Michael is the Caretaker of Spring School. He wanted to become a staff governor as it gives him more inside information of what is going on at Ambitious about Autism. He has two grown-up daughters and a granddaughter as well, and in his spare time, he enjoys watching sports, and going to National Trust and English Heritage sites. He also enjoys collecting vinyl records and building Lego sets as well.

Richard Jones
Vice-Chair of Governors

Richard has been involved with Ambitious for a number of years and is committed to inclusion and improving neurodiverse employment opportunities. He jumped at the opportunity to help with overseeing the set up of the new school locally and is learning lots of new things to go alongside his other board work in Finance.  He hopes to bring some learnings the other way too!

Laura Greenshields
Governor

Laura leads Spring School with vision, compassion, and over 20 years of experience in education. Her career spans senior leadership, school improvement, and inclusion strategy, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with SEND and autism.

Previously an Assistant Head for Inclusion and a former local authority advisor, Laura has driven whole-school change, led safeguarding practice, and championed mental health and wellbeing initiatives. She is skilled in building collaborative teams, mentoring staff, and embedding evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed practice.

Laura works closely with families and professionals to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and able to thrive. Known for her calm, strategic leadership and commitment to equity, she believes in high expectations paired with empathy—creating an ambitious, inclusive environment where progress and belonging go hand in hand.

Gavin Greenfield
Governor

Dr Gavin Greenfield is a researcher at Imperial College London, focusing on how digital health interventions and data can improve healthcare. He works with the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for Northwest London, contributing to projects on patient safety, integrated care, mental health and long‑term conditions. Gavin’s background spans economics, engineering, human factors and human–computer interaction, giving him a broad foundation for his work.

Matilda Underwood
Governor

Matilda brings over 17 years of personal and professional experience advocating for neurodivergent individuals to Spring School’s governing body. Currently working as a SEND Therapeutic Practitioner and Deputy SENCo, Matilda supports students aged 11–18, working with students, families, staff, and external agencies to address needs including Autism, ADHD, mental health, and safeguarding. Matilda strives to create inclusive environments where neurodivergent children and their families feel supported and empowered. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every person is heard, seen, and understood, and is proud to continue this work as a Governor.

Hannah Courtman
Governor

Hannah is a parent of a child at Spring School. Grateful for the support her family has received, she is keen to give back to the school community through her role as a parent governor. Hannah has previously worked as a medical secretary, gaining valuable experience in communication, organisation, and supporting others—skills she brings to her governance role. Hannah looks forward to contributing to the continued success of the school and gaining a deeper understanding of its inner workings as she serves on the governing body.
